Our goal is to save you precious time normally spent on shopping, prep, cleanup and going out by cooking great, healthier, delicious meals in the comfort of your own home, allowing you to spend more time doing the things you love with the people you love.
We believe The Black Orchid Catering is truly the best choice for busy families. We provide personalized meals, always made from scratch, using healthier ingredients. Your fridge or freezer will be filled with healthier, home-cooked meals. Weekly packages start at $150 plus the cost of groceries.
OUR PROCESS
Our weekly in-home service can easily save you 4-8 hours per week. We pair a family with one of our chefs. The relationship starts with an initial consultation to determine your family’s food preferences. Each week, your chef will design a customized menu specifically for your family using fresh, seasonal ingredients for you to review. With the week’s menu established, your chef will visit your home on a scheduled basis-most families start with two or three days a week. Your chef starts each day shopping for the best ingredients available and then will prepare dinner right in your own kitchen. Our chef will always leave your kitchen clean and tidy.
Your chef will visit your home two or three times a week in the morning hours and prepare two meals. The first meal, to be eaten that day, is a two course meal, while the second meal, for the following day is a simpler, one course meal. All meals will be prepared, packaged and labeled with easy-to-follow heating and serving instructions.
*To begin service, The Black Orchid Catering may need to purchase some kitchen supplies on your behalf for use in your kitchen. Supplies needed may include glass tupperware, cutting boards, aluminum foil, Zip-lock bags, disposable gloves.
Disposable items will be replenished on an as-needed basis throughout the course of your service and will be included in the cost of your groceries.
LET’S TALK ABOUT PRICING
Our personal chef pricing starts at $150 chef fee plus the cost of groceries. The chef fee includes menu planning, grocery shopping, full meal preparation, containers and complete kitchen clean-up.
Meal Day Includes: Two customized chef prepared entrees (containing a protein, starch and vegetable) and one salad with detailed labeling and instructions for heating the food.
*Please note the cost of groceries is not included in the costs.
There is a $15/day travel fee to homes outside of Brown County.
*A weekend service schedule will incur a $50 fee and is based on our chef’s availability.
*A 3% admin fee and 10% service charge is added to final bill
